#12 / EPIDOTE - Pakistan
Locality: Raywoo Mine, Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan
Size: 6.5 x 5.5 x 3 cm
Unusual Crystals in both form and composition, these large Epidote crystal groups are composed of flat tabular, pseudo hexagonal or pseudo octohedral shaped crystals . . . quite strange for a monoclinic mineral.
They are often slightly magnetic, and have varying amounts of micro titinite crystals on the surfaces.
These apparantly grew in connected clusters and the majority show some point or points of attachment to other groups.
This one only has one contact, as seen in the first picture on the rear of the large crystal.
