#63 / PYRITE -
Guangdong Prov., China
~4.5 cm Diameter
These Pyrite "balls" are truly a unique curiosity of the mineral kingdom. The outside surface is composed of many square crystal
faces forming the mosaic you see in the pics. This one is a very round ball and you are seeing both sides, so you can see how
uniform the sphere is. This one is in the best condition and a must for any pyrite suite.
#04 / LIMONITE after PYRITE
Bellevue, Ohio
5.5 x 6.5 x 4 cm
A very neat, complete all around, complex Pyrite crystal group pseudomorphed to Limonite. Most of these are altered only on the
outside and are still Pyrite on the inside. Collected by an old friend back in the early 1970's in a railroad cut.
