Ace of Diamonds Mine, Herkimer, New York
6 x 4.5 x 5 cm
These 'Herkimer Diamond' clusters appear infrequently on the market, as most are hoarded by the folks that are lucky enough to open a good pocket in the incredibly tough
dolomitic limestone. This one was collected in 2010 by a local collector that opened several good pockets. These specimens were a challenge to photograph due to the incredible
transparency and glassy luster and they are better in hand than even the pictures indicate. This specimen consists of a floater group of about 10 gemmy crystals in a cluster. Multiple
display angles and in pristine condition.
